Dr. Humphrey failed to disclose his relationship with my ex's lawyer before I agreed to let him evaluate me. He then took 4 months to write a report that, as another reviewer noted, came out to fit his preconceived conclusion. He did not tell the truth about calling my references and then did not tell the truth in court.. He also chastised me for teaching my kids how to look for cameras in their rooms and how to identify bad people. Troubling. I filed a complaint with the state but they don't care.

I saw Dr. Humphrey from 15-18 years old. Prior to meeting Dr. Humphrey I refused to go to any second sessions with the therapists/psychologists my parents sent me to (I think there were 6 or 7 of them). Dr. Humphrey was able to build trust and his work helped me process and grow. I am really grateful for Dr. Humphrey for helping me build the skills to work through my past and future challenges.

He appeared to pick and choose which aspects of the clinical interview, objective testing, and collateral reports would support his preconceived idea of all the parties involved. The report had many misspellings and many misuses of client names (e.g., using one client's name multiple times under the wrong client). This was surprising for such a high caliber of service. A considerable misrepresentation of the clients. The report read more of a subjective, "he-said, she-said" type of report rather than an objective assessment. Fact-checking was NOT done based on collateral and client reports (e.g., police arrests, etc.). His personal opinions shined through in a clear, evident manner. For example, his interpretations of things children said, how the parent(s) interact with the world, or what a client (child or adult) said, or didn't say, in a "timely manner" based on his time table. His personable skills are good, will give him that. Overall, I would not use again and certainly would not

Dr. Humphrey is not aware of cultural differences and he crossed a boundary that is considered very impolite in my culture.

Dr. Humphrey claims to be an "EXPERT" in parental alienation. Well he couldn't be more clueless about the subject. He treated my children for over a year and actually made things worst. When someone like Humphrey is treating patients outside their narrow level of expertise it actually causes more damage. Humphrey also proved to be a dishonest witness on the stand. Please call me before you trust this guy for help. Jerry Mastrangelo 203 641-4499 I am happy to share my experiences Thank you

Dr. Stephen Humphrey only cares about collecting his fee. He does not understand the scientific method and does not care about the emotional well being of children.

Dr. Humphrey is only concerned with ensuring that he is paid a substantial amount quickly. Humphrey prejudges the conflict between the parents even before talking to them. He also does not understand the scientific method and gives people invalid, out of date psychological written tests.

Dr. Stephen Humphrey decides beforehand what he is going to do and then twists the facts to substantiate his recommendations. He does not understand the scientific method and misuses psychological evaluations.

Dr. Humphrey is professional in the delivery of care by providing a professional and clean environment for patients. He is capable to create a good level of trust initially using a comfortable atmosphere and his interpersonal communication skills. HOWEVER, Dr. Humphrey misuses scientific data, rushes through and/or omits essential collateral information in order to make an impartial custody evaluation. The collateral information he does obtain is used to support a preconceived opinion.
