Honestly deserves 0/5 . Dr Helwig terminated treatment with me after 6 months, saying that my needs were beyond what she was able to provide. She then offered to help me find new therapy, but lied to me about the type of recommendations she would provide. The referrals she sent did not line up with what she told me, and then she just abruptly cut communication. Do not recommend, I felt nothing but isolated and abandoned. 1

Steer clear if looking for a provider for a child/teen/young adult. She was not up to providing competent treatment for our son. Whether just inexperience or not really suited for working in this age group, she totally missed some very important signals. Had we not sensed something was wrong and intervened the consequences could have been significant. Totally missed the forest for the trees.

Dr., Helwig abandoned our family after we had barely begun treatment (3 sessions), after increasing conflict within our family with off-handed and inaccurate use of specific psychological terms. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
