Caused Medical Trauma
I was scared, desperate, confused, and vulnerable because of a variety of physically disabling symptoms. My pcp had no idea what was going on and referred me to Stephanie. She was rude and dismissive and accused me of seeing too many doctors, even though I was just doing what my pcp suggested. She refused to provide referrals or do any investigative work. I was nothing but respectful and courteous towards her. She proceeded to gaslight me and called into question my mental health in the chart notes. She then canceled my follow up appointment and blocked me so I couldn’t leave a negative review. Subsequently, every doctor I saw after her believed all of my issues were in my head. It wasn’t until I left Portland Clinic and ended up in the ED that I was finally diagnosed with several rare medical conditions, which I now receive SSDI for (I won the first try). Because of her, I have medical trauma and have a hard time trusting doctors. I hope she will never harm another patient.

There is better care out there.
Stephanie leaving Portland Clinic lead me to see a new PCP, and the difference of care has been very noticeable, enough for me to write a review. Similar to another reviewer, she once cancelled an appointment and sent me to urgent care because my heart rate was high. They did an EKG at the urgent care, but they also did an EKG at Portland Clinic..before I had even left..so I got two EKGs that day, two bills, nothing was found, and I had to re schedule the appointment months out. Several appointments with her were to discuss my mental health, and in the end, she never helped. It genuinely seemed like she didn’t even want to; she threw her hands up and called her work done when the medication she was prescribing wasn’t working, and that is so discouraging to experience when you’re already that low. I’ve left crying. The PCP I have now put in referrals for me for medication management and put me in touch with a social worker, and I was floored..I didn’t know it could be this easy.

We had one telehealth visit. She was incredibly rude and discouraging regarding HRT. Extremely critical of my current method & led me to believe that no physician would prescribe me hormones with my current lifestyle. I have since been treated by another physician who did not act the same way at all, was actually courteous, and gave me the treatment I need.

Stephanie is awesome! She was the first provider to actually try to help me with my Fibromyalgia, other than tell me to sleep/eat/workout better.

Smart, empathetic and efficient
Stephanie had been my PCP for many years when she was at the Portland Clinic. I honestly felt that she listened to me when no other doctors ever cared or bothered before. She did not automatically attribute all of my health problems to my weight (as many have had in the past). She actually tried to find the root cause and as a result, I felt more valued and trusted than I had ever before. I was so sad to hear that she was leaving the Portland Clinic!

Good bye Stephanie D'Andera YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED
She was the worst non-caring NP I have ever dealt with. She did not communicate well and she sent me to the ER for high BP. It was a huge waste of time. All in ER apologized to me for her. They all knew I should not have been there. I was not actively showing signs of a stroke or heart attack, just high BP and not even that high. It was the last appointment of the day for Stephanie which she had tried changing to a tele visit however I told her assistant that I really needed to been seen in office for various reasons. She didn't want to be there and clearly had plans so she sent me to the ER immediately instead of doing her job. I will not miss her. I changed to an actual caring real Doctor. MUCH BETTER. She should not be in the medical profession.
