Didn't do his job, gave completely wrong diagnosis
Assar gave me 1 contact lens to try on (+1.75), and when I said I could not see clearly at all with this prescription, he promptly concluded that I would not be able to see clearly with soft contact lenses, period. That I should just get used to wearing glasses because people would need them as their eyes age anyway. At no time did Assar try a different prescription on me before his erroneous conclusion. To boot, he had the audacity to charge me for a "contact lens fitting," when he did none of the work. After going to an actual, competent optometrist at Stanford, I was fitted with a much different soft contact lens prescription (+0.50) and am seeing 20/20. His diagnosis / prescription was so completely wrong. +1.75 to +0.50 is wrong to a large degree. At minimum, he should've had me try many different prescription (which is the foundation of his job) before giving a diagnosis.

I saw this doctor at the UC eye clinic. Arrogant little man with rough hands. He certainly is not recommended for anyone who wants a good patient-doctor experience, though he may know his business.
