If you get her as a psychiatrist RUN. I begged her to change my mother's meds, wrote a letter explaining everything in detail, all the ER Visits ended with the same conclusion she was over medicated. She didn't listen or care told mom her hair was nappy. If you or someone you love is sent to her just run.

I had an absolutely horrid experience with Sherry Blackford. She was rude. Laughed at me when I told her I couldn’t sleep at night. Finally I had enough and had to leave. YALL I had to see my way out of her office she never stood to show me the way out, she just told me to have a good day. People go to her for help but she made me leave there in tears. DO NOT SEE THIS WOMAN. She might be a NP with years of school under her belt but she has absolutely zero compassion and compassion is everything

Asked to change from paxil to other medication as I have gained more weight in year of taking meds than ever before, was told she didn't believe that meds cause weight gain and I should simply exercise more. I walk 5 days/week for 30 min. I'll find someone who doesn't ignore a complaint many patients have had and has been documented by doctors many times over the years.
