Dr. Shaista Vally, OD

Dr. Vally is thorough and professional. She asks questions no other optometrist has and helped diagnose me with something others have missed. I would recommend her to everyone that's tired of being unheard and given less than perfect prescriptions!

What took other doctors years to diagnose, she was able to observe and treat in me right away. It's clear she has a passion for what she does as she is so knowledgeable, empathetic, and takes her time. Most doctors rush me out with out explaining things- not Doctor Vally.

I've been wearing glasses/contacts for nearly 15 years now and nearly every year I've had a different optometrist. After talking with me about any new vision issues I've had over the last year she did a very in-depth exam and found out I in fact never needed glasses to begin with. I was misdiagnosed because my initial doctor didn't take the time to correct the issues I was having but instead put a "band-aid" on it and my vision has been getting progressively work ever since. Dr. Vally is going to work with me over the next 2 year to get me out of contact and glasses completely!! It's been almost 2 weeks since she prescribed me a lower prescription and my vision is already starting to improve! This was my first visit with Dr. Vally and refuse to see any other doctor from now own!!

Dr. Vally exhibits NEXT LEVEL care with her patients. She took time to explain to me that there is a not-well-known trend of "over-minusing" patients (google it) and helped to bring my prescription closer to "0". She taught me how patient's tend to prefer the feeling and instant clarity of more "minus", but how over time, it is actually much worse for the eye muscles. She warned me that for 2 weeks I wouldn't like my prescription.. and boy, was she right... I was sure that she was a terrible optometrist, so I researched for days and days, determined to find out HOW she was wrong. I only found that after two weeks, my eyes preferred the lesser prescription. She is one of the rare doctors in this world who are willing to make their patients upset with them for a couple of weeks for the benefit of the patient's overall health. I'm so glad I found Dr. Vally... She is pushing the envelope of care, and needless to say, I’ll be trusting my eyes to her for years to come.

Dr Valle is really personable and sweet, will explain everything to you in a way you'll understand, and will do as much adjusting as you need to find something that works for you. 100% recommend her.

I had been having terrible headaches for weeks and couldn’t figure out why—my PCP thought my migraines were uncontrolled, I was beginning to worry I might have a brain tumor or something...I finally went to see Dr. Vally who took the time to figure out that my recent contacts prescription had been massively over corrected but due to spasm in my eyes, it took a lot of time and patience to diagnose that most providers wouldn’t bother with. I felt 100% better and she even let me come back to double check the prescription just to make sure it was right. I won’t trust another optometrist with my vision!

My first visit with Dr. Vally was amazing. She is so approachable and knowledgeable on different health conditions that can effect the eye. Dr. Vally is someone I would trust with seeing my family. She is very professional in how she runs her practice.
