Dr. Scott Hickman, PSY.D

I've been seeing Dr. Hickman for a year now. I came in with severe anxiety, depression and relationship issues.. that we are still working on. I wanted to note that he's an outstanding psychologist who genuinely cares about your wellbeing in whole. He listens intently to everything I tell him. He offers feedback that has been instrumental in the positive changes, in my life, but doesn't push me beyond my limits. I feel safe with him and am able to confide in him easily. Almost every time I'm in a session with him, I feel a window or door of understanding, open up in a dark room. I'm very grateful for him, as I see small positive changes happening in my life. I attribute these changes to therapy with Dr. Hickman. Ainat.

It would be logical to think that if you put a 19-year-old child in a combat genocide environment for 5 months that there may be a psychological effect of that. But Dr Hickman denied my VA claim for benefits because he said there's no way you could have PTSD and graduate college. Maybe they didn't teach you anything about high functioning as part of any diagnosis in that third world country you must have gotten your degree in.
