The Best Advocate in Uncertain Times
Sarah is not only incredibly knowledgeable and well-qualified in her profession, but her bedside manner is exactly what you need in uncertain situations. Anyone who is conducting genetic testing is generally not there for fun, it can be a stressful, heartbreaking, difficult time followed by even more challenging decisions. When we received terrible news at an early ultrasound, Sarah called my husband and I from her vacation to help us navigate decision-making. She was thorough, detailed, and well-versed in current studies and research to help us determine the best course of action. It was the only source of comfort we had at the time, and without Sarah I cannot imagine what that experience would have been like for us. We are in a much better place today, and our baby is healthy, thanks to Sarah and the team at Newton-Wellesley. I cannot recommend them enough!

Sarah was by far one of the worst medical professionals I have ever encountered. We came in with data suggesting our baby was 90-99% likely to die from a NTD; instead of offering support and immediate access to ultrasound, she spent so much time pushing for me to consider an amniocentesis that we missed the morning ultrasound and had to wait several hours to confirm our baby’s fate. No common sense, no scientific understanding, no empathy. It’s been two years and she still stands out as the worst from a dark time. I even went through the hospital patient advocates hoping to get her feedback, but have never gotten an apology or recognition of her mistakes, so I am posting to help other women avoid the same experience.

My husband and I met with Sarah to go over genetic testing regarding our pregnancy and we had such a wonderful experience. Sarah made a full genetic chart for us and carefully explained each detail of the risks and what genetic testing entails. Her manner is exactly what should be found in all medical professionals!
