Dr. Smithyman was my therapist for many years when he practiced in Beverly Hills, California. I saw him when I was going through a very tough period of my life. i was very co-dependent but didn’t even know what that meant at that time. He taught me how to love myself ... and have strength and belief in myself. He helped me to go back to college at 35 and graduate Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA. I then went on to get my MBA. Not bad for a girl who grew up with alcoholic parents that died in my teenage years. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am that Dr. Smithyman has been part of my life.
