Ruth Staszak, APNP

In many cases, I have no problem seeing an NP instead of a specialist, but this wasn't one of those cases. She was dismissive, combative, and she asked questions and then wouldn't let me get more than a few words out and cut me off. She was very rude and contradicted what the rheumatologist told me many times before. She focused on things that had nothing to do with why I see rheumatology to begin with. She is not a good replacement for Aurora's previous Rheumatologist. I was trying to be optimistic in giving this apnp a chance but I'm definitely going to a new clinic until Aurora hires a new specialist in this department. One of the weirdest and most frustrating appointments I've ever had at Aurora (and that's saying a lot).

She is snippy and argumentative. Contradicted another rheumatology provider which seemed to be about her being right more than anything. I'm not impressed.

Came in for hand pain.

Ruth listened to my concern and the. Completely misdiagnosed me. I told her repeatedly that I didn't feel she was right but she ignored my concerns. I ended up in the ER the next day due to her not listening to me. I will never go back to her again.
