Terrible experience with grief counseling. Had spoken on the phone prior to meeting so he was aware of the issues to be discussed. Treated us horribly and suggested we have a baby to take away our grief. Do not recommend.

Do not expect to get help if you do not have a traditional cookie-cutter family. We were so broken when we made our appointment and seeing this provider only made things worse. He belittled our problem because he did not see it as having any value. He knew the reason we were coming to the appointments because we had discussed it on the phone before we ever met. I wish that he had just told me at that time that he didn't think he could help us. He even suggested that the 'answer' to our problem was to have a baby after we had already made clear that we do not want children. I just would hate to have someone else go here for help and then be broken down more than they already were. He basically told us halfway through a session that 'I can't fix it' and 'Life goes on'. These are phrases that anyone on the street could tell me. I did not come to a licensed counselor for help to be brushed off so flippantly and carelessly.
