In agreement with other people's negative sentiments about this provider. She is incredibly difficult to work with. I felt that she would push medications on me that I was comfortable trying, and when I would have negative reactions to them she wouldn't believe me. There was no comfortability or rapport, she would go through the exact same questionnaire each visit. Incredibly rude, condescending, and gaslight about symptoms. Would not explain diagnoses well. Always in a rush. Would ask me questions regarding information I provided her years ago, never kept track of new information I provided her. Even texted me once in all caps yelling at me based on my request. Do not see her at all costs. She is insincere, and just sits at her computer spewing the same thing every time. I haven't felt any improvement working with her on medications. I had her meet with another provider of mine to coordinate care and she provided her with inaccurate information about my treatment.

Roberta truly cares about her patients. My counselor suggested that I make an appointment with her and I’m so glad I did. My PCP was not addressing my concerns and since being in Roberta’s care I have felt amazing. Thankful to have someone who listens and wants her patients to thrive!

Roberta is the type of person you wish you found sooner. She is kind, empathetic, and incredibly helpful. She won't suggest taking the ole "easy route" that hasn't worked in the past or giving you a "quick fix" based on what you think you want. Instead, she focuses on your needs. She explains in depth why she suggests X treatment over Y, hears you out and together, you come to a plan of action with you. It is incredibly refreshing to have a doctor actually show heart to her patients, especially during that first, very vulnerable first appointment. Her depth of knowledge and experience is proven in every appointment we have, and her informed guidance with prescription medication has changed my life. She helped me understand what was going on with me, and for the first time in 10 years, I am completely of an SSRI. If you want true wellness and the guidance to get to your absolute best self, please call Roberta. I thought the person I used to be was gone. 5 months after my first meeting with Roberta, and I am happier and healthier than ever. Thank you Roberta. We are all lucky to have you. I sure am.

After years of terrible experiences with provider after provider, I never thought I would trust one again. Roberta changed that! She is kind and compassionate and listens to your needs. I am so glad I found her. If you are looking for a wealth of knowledge and a kind heart - she’s the provider you need!

Roberta is patient and kind and very knowledgeable about mental health. I have been seeing her for about 6 years and she has gone through a lot with me and always been so supportive and helpful with managing my anxiety etc.

My depression had not been well managed in years. I just thought I would always have depressive episodes. Doctors kept just adding meds. I met with Roberta and she reviewed my meds and symptoms thoroughly. She focuses on the neurotransmitters that your brain needs. After just 6 weeks working with her, my life was so different. My husband would jokingly tease me about not being able to handle how happy I was. Honestly cannot recommend her enough!

Roberta has an amazing ability to zero in on issues and manage mental health concerns. Our family is more productive and happier because of Roberta and her insightful, caring treatment for our son. She helped us understand our role, his condition and expectations going forward. She was able to diagnose his condition and put an effective treatment plan in place when others were unable to do so. We are forever grateful for her intervention, therapeutic practices and follow up care.

My experience with Roberta has always been great. For the past 6years she has helped me successfully manage my bipolar disorder. A huge thanks to her I couldn't ask for a better therapist.

I was about at the end of my rope when o found Roberta. She asked questions and listened and then had a thorough and well thought out conversation with me. A plan was put in place will frequent follow up to ensure that plan was working. I have contacted her when I have questions or issues and she always responds quickly. I would definitely recommend her.

Roberta has been an amazing NP since I moved to New Hampshire. I've had to switch meds several times due to the insurance companies changing coverages. Roberta has always worked quickly to help come up with other options and recommend new strategies for my ADHD. I always felt supported and validated by her. She is approachable, listens, and follows up on things we discussed in past appointments. 10/10 recommend!

Roberta is a very kind and personable woman who cares about her patients. She helped me navigate through multiple medication changes and we eventually found the med that worked for me. It took time but we were patient and she was key in my mental health journey.

She is very friendly and also seems to be generally interested in my life during our meetings, which she does not have to do because she is a psychiatrist instead of a therapist. Additionally, she has been very helpful with finding the right medications for my needs, and adjusting them when necessary. I would recommend her to anyone.

I have been seeing Ms. Stanhope for several years in both clinical, and private practice. She is a very caring; knowledgeable, and compassionate provider. I have the utmost respect for her in her field, and she will work with my counselor in my treatment plan. I highly recommend this provider to anyone whom needs someone to really listen to their treatment needs.

On every visit with Roberta she has met my needs. She has been more then helpful and guiding me to explore other options for my health. I highly recommend this provider and trust her explicitly!

I'm really aghast at all these five-star reviews, but I am truly happy that others have had a good experience with her and have been helped! I never felt like she was really listening to me. I had to fill out extensive questionnaires before the appointment only to have her ask the SAME exact questions via her computer. I might as well have been meeting with a robot. She would input the answers thereby staring at the screen the whole time. I was put on a medication that not only didn't help with my depression but made me gain massive amounts of weight. She told me which medicine she WANTED me to try, but she said she didn't want or have the time to fight with insurance, so I'd never get it. Isn't that part of what we're paying her for? In addition, she often complained about how annoying some of her patients were which I thought was rude and unprofessional. Luckily, I've found wonderful psychiatric care elsewhere.
