Bob is a good man, an honest man, a sincere man. He is a man of character. The value of character, especially in a counselor, cannot be overstated. He expertly walks the tightrope of respecting boundaries, of limitations owing to "readiness", while also pushing those boundaries and limitations as required for one's progression. What's more, he will go the extra mile if and when you need him to. That is, he cares enough about his clients to make time for them even when it isn't entirely ideal for his own schedule when the client's circumstances merit his doing so. There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" counselor. It takes time and effort. It requires a degree of compatability between counselor and client. With that in mind, I strongly recommend giving Bob a chance to see if he is compatible with your needs and personality. Absolutely worth spending the time and effort to see if he is able to help with whatever you may need.
