I saw Dr. Hirsch for 10 visits. The therapy was fair - he interrupted me a lot and several times I felt he wasn't really listening or caring. His website said he takes insurance. He insisted I pay up front fees that exceeded by co-payment obligation. He submitted bills with errors in them. It took some time to get the billing and insurance reimbursement sorted out as he professed not to know if he was an in-network provider. I got the billing and payment sorted out and he owed me a refund for fees I paid. When I addressed this with him, he re-traumatized me by saying the most hateful and unprofessional things one could ever imagine, let alone from a psychologist. Stay away!
