I've used this amazing counselor for 12 years. She has helped me recognize and deal with my Codependency. She helped me during my divorce of my narcissist husband. She helped me find, heal, and rebuild myself. She helped me process and understand how to have a healthy relationship with my new husband and blended family. She has been a wealth of information for over a decade. She is an honest, yet blunt therapist. This isn't a counselor that is going to sugar coat life. You will be called out when you are in the wrong and most people can't handle that. If you are aware of your issues and actually want to process and heal them, she is THE therapist for you. If you want to pretend all your problems are from your parents, finances, bad luck, sick dog, crazy kids...then yeah, keep looking. (Oh yeah, she also does have to eat and drink sometimes during the back to back 9 hours of appointments. So if her having basic human needs bothers you, keep looking too.)

Rebecca is a life saver and gives honest feedback (sans sugarcoating - which I think may have been the root of some of these one-star reviews). Members of the LGBTQ community - this is a safe, welcoming place. Rebecca is a therapist who is welcoming OF EVERYONE, won't waste your time with BS, is smart as a whip, and works wonders.

I entered with full disclosure and willingness to help with my husband's addiction. I let out a lot of personal truth that she later used against me with him. She blamed me for his addiction and excused his behavior. He eventually quit going because he felt out was not moving forward. He saw her for 3 months. The front person who schedule the appointment also discussed how creepy and disgusting some of the men who came in were.

I didn't like that we never started on time. It was always 10 or 15 minutes late because she always had to make coffee or eat or let her dog out to potty. And a lot of times we did not stay 10 or 15 minutes longer to make up the time, we still ended on time. I didn't like that she got distracted in the middle of me sharing my trauma by her dog. I didn't like that she hardly ever answered my questions, and I felt we just did pretend therapy. It was by far the strangest therapy sessions ever.

I was taking my 16 y old daughter to Rebecca to help with her depression and anxiety. My daughter had 5 session with her, & never really seemed to make any progress. The straw that broke the camels back was when my daughter & I had a minor disagreement, and she went to Rebecca & told her she didnt want to see me anymore. Rebecca did nothing to talk my distraught daughter down off of the ledge, & instead sided with her & her mother incouraging her to do what she watned to do. I lost my daughter.

Rebecca Norton has saved my life. God sent me to her or her to me so that I could live on to help others. Please disregard the star rankings here and go see her. She may not be the one for you as I have been through many counselors and doctors in my life...but she may be the one that saves you life. My experience, strength, and hope.
