This woman has the audacity to chastise my wife, who was ordered by her doctor, to come in to Labor and Delivery for concerns with Covid. My wife is vaccinated, but is a teacher. We’ve done everything that was asked of us to try and stop the spread. Canceled our wedding, stay in, no honeymoon, etc. 7 months pregnant, my wife had to return to in person teaching. This was not our choice, but having insurance outweighed her risk. Rachel Kay came into the room and wasted no time chastising my wife, treating her like a child for coming to the hospital, on her doctor’s orders, saying “I should say shame on you for wasting your time coming to the hospital. What were you thinking?” I was dumbstruck. My wife was reduced to tears and made to feel stupid. My wife reacted as you would expect, and called Rachel out for her unacceptable behavior. I can’t believe that someone would think that acting like this to a patient, who is scared and wants answers, is acceptable.

I had a terrible experience with her. My 2nd pregnancy I wanted more info on doing a vbac. She did not care about my wishes, the only thing she kept talking about was getting my tubes tied after I delivered. This was only my second pregnancy and my husband and I were outraged. She told me to schedule 3 ultrasounds with no reason why. When I had questions she always went back to getting my tubes tied. She never remembered my name and I felt she made assumptions. At 5 months I changed doctors.
