Dr. Philip Roos is a great man to work with and he has written "How to Take Charge: Of Your Feelings, Your Actions, Your Life" currently available on Amazon. However, I was under the impression he retired in early 2019. In fact, I went to him home to get a referral and he confirmed this. This phone number listed here is invalid. Thirty years since I last saw Dr. Roos and I still incorporate the tools I learned from him. i.e., "Should" therapy... should is a disguise for "why", so, why ask why? Sounds so simple, but has had a profound impact on my life. I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for Dr. Roos and his insightful and compassionate counseling.

I have been through numerous counselors with and it always seems like in the first 15 minutes they have me figured out and they stop really listening and go into their agenda of their snapshot analysis. Dr. Roos is conpletely different as he truly listens to you every session and analyzes in real time and suggests thing as our sessions go along. He uses alot of CBT, Cognitive Behaviorial Technique, and the way he admisrers it helped my personal growth tremendously. He is incredibly intelligent.
