Perinjit Niehaus, PA-C

Dr. Niehaus tried to perform the Lachman test to see if my ACL was intact while I was in a seated position (later learned she did this wrong). She said my ACL was completely intact and to come back after 6 more weeks (it had already been 6 weeks since injury). I told her my injury had gotten WORSE -not better- in the last 6 weeks, I didn't want to wait any longer. She begrudgingly said she'd order an MRI and that I might need surgery based on results. I was deeply depressed after suffering a severe concussion and this knee injury. I started tearing up at the idea of surgery having had 3 major surgeries before. I was not crying but a couple tears leaked out, at which point, Dr. Niehaus stood up and said 'I'll end the appointment there.' She treated me like a psych ward patient and didn't even diagnose me right. I got a second opinion at Forte the next day - Dr. Linger performed the Lachman test *correctly* and MRI confirmed my ACL was ruptured and I needed 2+ surgeries to fix my knee.
