Dr. Penny Sprecher, PHD

We were able to schedule with Dr. Sprecher within a month of our call for a psychological evaluation. She went well beyond what our insurance allowed at no extra expense to us. Our follow-up was within one month of the initial appointment and testing. We received our report the next day. It would have taken us six months to get in with another psychologist who wanted to charge us $3500 upfront for an evaluation. Dr. Sprecher and her staff are very professional and care about their patients. I would highly recommend them.

Just absolutely love this Doctor as well as the Staff here !! So kind and nice as well as very supportive!! They work hard to get all my paperwork done quickly !!

Waited months for an appointment which was in fall 2022, still haven’t received results. Paid $1000 out of pocket for nothing. I can’t get treatment or medications without a diagnosis.

Office environment was mediocre. They are horrible about answering the phone and returning calls after leaving a voicemail. Getting your report after testing will take MONTHS.

Dr Sprecher is so sweet. She listened to me with compassion. She asked me questions that helped me remember things I had forgotten. She really listened to me. I was scared and shaking when I sat with her but the longer we talked the more I relaxed. She talked with me about by test results and the different disorders she diagnosed me with. I was comfortable with learning about my disorders and they made perfect sense. She is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience. Dr. Sprecher was able to give me a progress note to get the meds I needed from my doctor. The report arrived within a few weeks as promised.

You won’t find a more knowledgeable and compassionate Psychologist in the area... Dr. Sprecher is it!! Our family has been supported by Dr. Sprecher for over 25+ years now. She listened to my concerns and hit the nail right on the head when determining a treatment plan for my daughter. When I needed documents for court she personally called to ensure I had received them on time. She’s not only helped me to understand my daughter better and her mental health but she’s also coached me through some very hard times dealing with my daughters behaviors. We are completely satisfied with her competency and knowledge!!

Excellent diagnostician. I was able to get to the root of my son's problem. I was able to get results on the 2nd visit and a note to take to my doctor. The formal report arrived a few weeks later and was specifically tailored to my child's needs. It was not mass or computer produced.

Dr. Sprecher saw my doctor for issues after an assault. She was wonderful to her and helped out family a lot. She had an opening right away and gave us names of resources we needed at that time. She also testified in court for my daughter. I don’t know where we’d be had it not been for Dr. Sprecher.

Dr Sprecher handled our daughter with the upmost professional care. I am taken back by some other reviews. One reason for a lengthy wait is because the evaluation process takes 2 to 4 hours. The second appointment is usually 90 minutes but Dr. Sprecher took the extra time she needed at the followup which I am sure put her a behind. As soon as we arrived we were given paperwork and rating scales to complete which was part of the evaluation process. My child felt very at ease sharing her problems with her and her staff. Dr. Sprecher handled the info shared with her in the most professional manner and did assure confidentially with my child. While i would like to have known what was said, I appreciate that my daughter was able to be open and honest and that the info stayed between them. I have the upmost faith with this provider. We received our report in a timely matter because there weren't any issues with billing which is often the case. I was very impressed.

I brought my child in to have testing and when we came back for the results we waited an hour before seeing Ms. Sprecher; when we did go back, I brought up the fact that I didn’t appreciate that we had to wait so long and no one even bothered to speak to us to apologize for the wait or notify us of when we would be seen. I understand that everyone runs behind but that happened both times we went. Timing is a real issue when you have other obligations. The biggest thing was when Sprecher told my child that I looked stressed and needed some fairy dust and that one time she (sprecher) had to wait for 4 hours for an appointment among other things that should not be discussed with a child at an appointment for them, not to mention told my child the trash she was talking “was between them”... very unprofessional.

Every time we have to use this office to complete a psychological we have to beg for the report to be given to us. They never answer their phone or provide the results back.

I have been a patient of Dr.Spreecher for several years and and my family and friends as well, she is so warm and caring just truly outstanding and I never had a Doctor makes you really understand situation emotionally and mentally , she helped me to with certain members of my family and friends and her staff as well has always been so great . So please if you really want a Doctor with such knowledge and heart and truly care about her patients please I recommend Dr.Penny Spreecher

I was finally able to get an answer to my questions and help by son. Understanding what is going on is so important prior to trying meds. I highly recommend getting a psychological evaluation. Dr. Sprecher is brilliant. My insurance company denied part of the testing but she completed the testing she needed to do without getting paid. She will not put her name on anything if she cannot stand behind it.
