cold and brusque
I've been successfully in therapy with several providers in various cities and states where I've lived. I'm just seeking a new provider because my previous one is retiring. I went into my first meeting with Paula optimistic and eager for her fresh take. But by 15 minutes into our one-hour intake session in I was sobbing and pleading with her to end the meeting early and discontinue. I've never felt so unsafe and unwelcome with a provider. I'm actually scared to try any another new therapist now. I feel scarred by this interaction. If they treat me like Paula did, I'll be devastated.
