I would NEVER recommend Paul Steward for child custody mediator. He was not proficient in his work one bit. He didn't take into consideration anything the children wanted, basically disregarding what their plea or request was, in my opinion very unprofessional on all levels. He got his money and ran. Once he had his money, he didn't even care about the needs of the children and already had made up his mind with what his plan was going to be. Like I said, he didn't even complete half of his job that was required. He does allow the abuser to continue being the abuser by allowing him part custody of the children, more than the abuser should have. When dealing with a narcissistic person, he believed what the narcissist said, very sad, and obviously isn't good at doing his job.

Therapy is supposed to be honest, healing, therapeutic, helpful, and a place of support. Paul Stewart has caused the opposite of what a client needs and deserves. I see the reviews below and on other sites that clearly mirror what a victim of unethical therapy goes through. Please, please heed this warning and do not subject yourself to Paul Stewart. He clearly does not consider his oath as a mental health practitioner to have any value except to inflict pain and frustration. He should be ashamed of himself as he takes money for being a bully and a thief of mental peace. Please do not allow his so called power and control to rob you of a fulfilling future.

Simply put, Paul Stewart is a rock star in his field. My son is seeing Paul as was recommended following a divorce. Due to the conflict, I had no expectations that Paul would have any effectiveness. I was wrong. When Paul had some success with reversing parental alienation, I was impressed. When he mostly eliminated child frustrations at home, I was blown away. In each situation, he outlined a simple plan to follow. Paul checked in routinely and provided guidance as needed. My son looks forward to seeing Paul. He has enjoyed in person sessions, which have involved play while reviewing any challenges since the previous session. During the covid-19 pandemic, Paul has provided services using video conferencing software. My son enjoys these sessions and will often ask me when the next one will be. Paul encourages and promotes positive and loving relationships with all family members. In my experience, he has avoided court drama, and remained focused on providing support for my son.

A biased, dishonest therapist. Court appointed and absolutely negligent when being a mental health provider without integrity. In our experience, court appointed therapists lack the proper skills and take on so many cases while trying to keep their practice afloat. Hurts you emotionally and makes you feel like you will will never get better to keep exhausting your funds. Do yourself and your family a healthy favor by checking his credentials and reviews as many better choices.

I agree with the other reviewers as completely biased and being paid by the abuser so does not report the abuse and neglect. Continually dishonest, does not respect court orders, and lets the abusing parent dictate the so called therapy to hide the truth. The meetings are not confidential and Paul Stewart willingly helps inflict emotional harm and endorses parental alienation for an innocent child which leaves lasting consequences. Utilizes an inappropriate form of so called therapy when really trying to intimidate, coerce the child into being confused and hide the abuse. Absolutely wrong and disturbing and should not be allowed to help the abuser since he is being paid by that parent to continue the cycle of abuse, especially when the child begs for help with such confusion and frustration. Will not include the other parent as does not respect the law, joint legal custody as well. We have undeniable evidence for a fair investigation so families are not re victimized.

We went to him for mediation on 2 separate occasions several years ago (court ordered). He was the only choice at the time. I found Paul to be a bit rude and authoritarian in nature. As for reliability, he missed one appointment with us without even calling to cancel. After we were done there was still part of an unused retainer which we had to fight over to get returned. I definitely would NOT recommend him.
