I'm guessing here, but I believe that this therapist is a sensor (MBTI), and I'm an intuitive. Typically that difference in how we process information would lead to some significant breakdown in understanding. However, this therapist has the willingness and ability to trust intuitive perception and to attempt to widen her frame of reference to take in a point of view divergent from her own, even if she doesn't fully understand it at first. Prior to seeing this therapist, I had engaged in some extremely distressing therapy with a hard-core sensor who demonstrated low emotional intelligence (EI) and no ability to go beyond her own frame of reference. I was relieved and comforted when my new therapist (Patricia) was able to provide treatment with a much higher level of EI. I think the time it took me to progress to my goal took longer than she would have preferred, but she patiently waited it out with me while I went at my pace. Although she's a Christian, I would recommend her as a therapist whether you're a Christian or not. She's a good listener, and if you're patient with her, too, being willing to explain yourself effectively or repeatedly, she'll do everything she can to be on your page with you as you work toward your goals. Bring your willingness to put in the effort, and she'll be there with you until you get there.
