Dr. Lafferty is a wonderful therapist! I've worked with her for years now and have made so many improvements. She is so compassionate and wise - she's often talking about a new book or course she's taking. I love that she's so well versed and knowledgeable. On top of that, she's kind, hilarious and just an overall joy to talk with. I've been a patient of Dr. Lafferty's for years, so this review is long overdue. What I appreciate and enjoy about our sessions is her patience, compassion, and wisdom in dealing with my past traumas and anxieties. She's never once made me feel shame about anything I've ever done, said, or felt. I know this sounds like a no brainer when it comes to seeing a therapist, but believe me, it can be a rare quality to possess. Her knowledge in psychology and cognitive therapies is thorough, and if she doesn't know something or isn't too familiar on the subject, she looks into it and follows up with you. She also has recommended a few books to me that helped reframe the way I look at my relationships. She's also flexible with her schedule, if you give her enough warning that you have to reschedule. There have even been a few times where I cancel last minute and she's still able to worked me in within a few days to reschedule. She also has a wonderful sense of humor! :)
