Pamina Hofer was a marriage counselor for my husband and me. Several years later she testified against me in court (and for my husband) in our child custody case. There were no allegations of abuse. We were both good parents. What was her motivation? My ex-husband is a wealthy man and I have always made a five-figure salary. I recommend reading the article in "The Guardian" titled “Psychologists could torture because they have no Hippocratic oath” by Garrett Koren, MD. Counselors can do irreversible harm.
