I had my 3rd baby with Nurisha. I saw the doctors all through my pregnancy but Nurisha was on call when I went into labor. I had never had a baby with a midwife before and I was nervous about it because I was high risk. I had a condition where my platelets were too low to get an epidural. I was terrified to have my son with no epidural. Nurisha stayed with me for hours rubbing my back, playing relaxing music, and doing aroma therapy stuff. She put some kind of oil on me to help my labor go by fast and it worked. She wrapped a scarf around my belly, my hips, and my back at different times and did some kind of midwife voodoo where she would pull it or apply pressure with it and it really helpd during the contractions. She gave me a shot on the inside of my vagina that stopped the burning when my baby was about to come out. I have never left a review about anything, good or bad, in my life but my husband and I still talk about Nurisha regularly 4 months later. I will never forget her.

I saw Nurisha for a routine OB visit at Loudoun Community Midwives. This is my second baby with the Midwives and I have been very happy with my care until today. She was very short with me and seemed irritated by my questions. I don't feel like she would provide great support during labor if she didn't want to spend more than a few minutes with me during a normal visit. I will request not to see her in the future.
