Dr. Noah Wiarda, OD

My initial experience was in late August when I had my eyes checked to obtain an updated prescription for my glasses. Dr. Wiarda provided the script and advised me that my cataracts had advanced to the point of needing surgery to remove the clouded lenses and get implanted lenses. He referred me to opthomologist Gary Foster MD. Had cataract surgery earlier this week and am recovering as expected. Have had 2 op-op follow-up sessions with Dr. Wiarda. He did a complete exam both times and was VERY reassuring. Answered all my questions in a straight forward, easy to understand manner.

I saw reviews about how this doctor works to save clients money so I booked an appointment, but when I went for an eye exam they refused to give me an exam unless I paid the $60 copay for a retinal imagery + eye exam. Never have paid more than $10-15 for an eye exam anywhere else, and they refused to see me unless I paid for the retinal imagery (which is normally reserved for patients predisposed to certain conditions). Very disappointing experience for someone unable to afford an expensive eye exam, especially when retinal imagery is not required elsewhere. If they made the retinal imagery an optional service (and not a requirement), their eye care would be more financially accessible.

Dr. Wiarda and his staff have now seen my entire family with varying eye problems (seizures, drastically different vision, concussion, eye strain). He is fantastic to talk to, listens to what our vision problems are and gets solutions done very quickly. His staff is great and has helped pick out frames and lenses for all of us for our various needs. I highly recommend Colorado Optometry for anybody with glasses!

Dr Wiarda is the best eye doctor I've seen in my 45 years of wearing contacts and glasses. He explained things about my eye health that I never knew, and debunked myths other doctors have told me over the years. He patiently and scientifically suggested a change in my contacts regime that resulted in the best daily wear I have ever experienced! No other doctor has ever taken the time to discuss my options to come to this perfect solution. With this new regime, my eyewear costs have been reduced by more than 50%. Dr Wiarda willingly took the time to talk in detail about my eyes, and I don't recall the last time I have been so happy about an eye appointment! The office staff is also very knowledgeable, personable, and professional, and the office is comfortable and easy to access. I highly recommend Dr Wiarda for anyone who wants a kind, patient, very knowledgeable doctor and an excellent eye-opening eye care visit!

Most thorough exam I have had. Explained everything thoroughly and was evident was providing care in my best interest. I made a good choice coming here to Dr Wiarda.

Pricing is outrageous. I was able to get the same exact frame for $100 cheaper than this place, I also saved almost $200 on lenses elsewhere. I have not been here for an exam, and I won't because of the price gauging with frames. Buyer Beware

This optometrist is amazing. He has all of the latest technology to check not only your prescription but also the health of your eyes! I've never been to such a dedicated optometrist before! His technicians are also pretty great. They give a lot of individual attention to their patients and are very friendly and professional. They have a wide variety of glasses to try on and their staff is more than happy to help you find a pair that suits you. Overall, I would absolutely reccomend them.

Dr. Wiarda is very focused on his patients. He only wants the best for his patients. He spends extra time with you to make sure you are comfortable with your options before you leave. He explained his results very clear and made sure you were comfortable before you leave. I defently will be back this year for another check up! I highly recommend this office to anyone looking to get their eyes checked. The office is very clean and staff is very helpful and respectful!

My first visit to Colorado Optometry was friendly, relaxed and assuring. Dr. Wiarda was very patient answering my questions and describing what he saw in my eyes during the exam.

Dr. Wiarda took time to thoroughly review my exam data and explain it to me in a way that I could understand. I haven’t received my glasses yet but I am very pleased so far. Stephanie was very knowledgeable and helpful about the frames and lenses. My whole experience was great.

Colorado Optometry is the best! Dr. Wiarda is both knowledgeable and friendly. I always feel comfortable, and have great confidence in the level of care I receive. This extends to the staff as well; I even overheard one of the ladies saying she would be out because she's donating a kidney to a friend! Wow! I can recommend Colorado Optometry without reservation.

After 20+ years with another doctor, my new insurance didn't cover that practice. After searching Yelp's ratings, I tried Colorado Optometry. I was impressed with the people, technology and comprehensive exam. Pricing for frames and lens were typical.

Dr. Wiardo is amazing--he is professional yet personable, and extremely knowledgeable! His front desk people (Michael & Amber) are charming and efficient. The office has cutting-edge equipment, and is very clean. A great experience--I highly recommend him!!!
