She cane not prepared for my visit. Then she talks like I am somebody else. Did not listen to questions.

I remember being recommended to see her many years ago for my distress at extreme chronic debilitating pain. I really felt like she didn't know what she was talking about. It felt like she thought as if I had a choice to feel the way I did, and I recall her saying that some people "identify" with the pain or some garbage like that, making it sound as if it were a choice. Physical pain that prevents a person from performing daily life tasks does not go away just because someone chooses whether or not to "identify" with it. I felt like going to her made me feel worse, as if no one actually understands what's going on". It felt as if she chose to imply/or blame me for being so distraught at my constant physical and debilitating pain because she knew she couldn’t really do anything meaningful to help. She should know better not just as a professional but as a human being. I came out of that feeling like not only had I lost hope but any respect for her as well.
