Nicolas Allen, PA-C

Nick Allen is thorough and knowledgeable. He explains things well, and always carefully addresses all questions that are asked and any concerns that are raised. He does not make his patients feel rushed. I highly recommend him.

When they told me my appointment would be with Nick, I thought, "Yes!" Because he's great! Kind, informative, and ready to listen. And that's just what he was during my appointment. After the appointment, he was standing at the desk and I said to him, "You're great!" And the nurse who was showing me out said, "Yes he is." That says a lot when the people you work with everyday agree that you are doing a great job. I'm writing this review because I think excellence should be rewarded.

Nick is a great PA-C, specifically his ability to communicate and relate to his patients. Over the past 3 years, Nick has always taken the time to review my file/history and then ask relevant questions. Currently in the medical industry that is a rarity, not the standard. Experienced and knowledgeable with the ability to relate that to my complex individual situation. I highly recommend Nick as PA-C at Idaho Urological Institute. Idaho Urological overall has great staff of Doctors, PA-C, Nurses, & office staff.

Dr. Allen was terrific. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… I immediately felt at ease. He combines expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. I appreciate Dr. Allen taking the time to go over the treatment options clearly.

Came up with good plans, explained to myself and my wife….comforting in a tough situation

First off, I almost never hand out 5-stars for any review, regardless of how good they are or it is. There are always elements that can be improved, regardless of the expertise. That said, as far as I'm concerned, he's the man. I've seen him for years and trust his judgment and the attention he has given to me as a patient. Always interested in what I'm doing so he will know if any of my activities could have potential benefits or detractions regarding my health. While I have only needed to see him once a year, his memory of his patient is remarkable. He seems to remember everything I've ever told him. I love that. He's a great PA.

Nicolas Allen is one of my favorite healthcare providers. He listens, remembers me even if it's been months (or years), and always has great ideas for preventing the need to come see him! Definitely recommend him to anyone.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Concise and to the point, explained my results to me in very easy to understand terms. Highly recommended.

Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient, starting with the registration pad used for check in. Waiting area was clean, comfortable and had good space between visitors. Check In was lobby a bit tight but adequate Nicolas Allen himself is personable and a good listener. He acknowledged my question with validation and confirmed my comprehension of the discussion. The personal safety questionnaire for suicide prevention is a good idea and I support its use. One staff member even helped me understand the survey questions with the greatest smile, behind her mask.

Professional, courteous, thorough, caring, I truly believe decisions he has made have twice kept me from serious health emergencies.
