Dr. Nicholas Tornatore, PHD

I travel from Staten Island to Brooklyn to see Dr. Tornatore, because he is THE best psychologist I have ever met. I started seeing a Psychologist many years ago in Brooklyn, and kept trying different doctors until I found one who genuinely listened, understood and guided me at the worst times of my life. During Covid 19, he offered skype, virtual visits etc, so that his patients could continue to get the needed help. When I had surgery hen offered phone visits with me as well. Dr. T is an asset to the medical community and is HIGHLY recommended by me.

Dr. T has been my therapist for over 5 years. He is a great therapist and more importantly a terrific person. He is caring and always has his patients’ best interest at heart. He is always there for me when I need him. He guided me through a very difficult time, couldn’t have done it without him. Whenever I am anxious, he is able to calm me down. Dr. T is one of a kind! I always look forward to my next session.

Dr. T has been my therapist for over25 years. To say this man has been instrumental to all of my emotional recovery and growth is an understatement. Dr. T truly cares about the well being of his patients and wants nothing more than to see each of us in a better emotional and mental state. Dr. Tornatore, known as Dr. T, has been my therapist and my families therapist for 20+ years. Dr. T has guided me through the adversities that life has thrown at me whether work related or family related. His honesty, knowledge, and guidance has enabled me to become a better husband, father, brother, son, friend, employee and business owner. My life had tragedy, sadness, happiness and success and through all of these many different situations of life, Dr. T has enabled me to embrace these situations. I have faced adversity but what I do after the adversity defines me. Without Dr. T, I would have lived in the adversity. Dr. T enabled me to work through my adversities and become a better man. Dr. T shows me and all of his patients respect, kindness and unconditional love. Dr. T does not consider his profession a job but as an ability to help others and a chance to better our society. Without Dr. T, my demons would have conquered. Dr. T has enabled me to have faith and live life.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. T for 10 years. He’s an excellent Doctor and more importantly a wonderful person. He has guided me through very turbulent times in my life. Talking to Dr. T, makes me a better person. He’s the best.

I was introduced to "Dr. T" in 2012 from a dear friend.I didn’t know what to expect. I was working with my therapist and although I trusted my friend’s judgement, I wasn’t sure if it was worth trying out a different therapist. Eventually I decided to go. After I had my session, and without any expectations, I got the “aha moment”. I walked out from his office with a deep feeling of inner clarity. As if everything just fell in place and there was no reason for me to overthink. That feeling stick with me. After that visit I went back when my dad passed.His opinion was very honest and helped me to find the strength I needed in that moment to face my harsh reality. I went to see him thinking I needed to do therapy again, but he dismissed that and made me aware that I had learned all the tools I needed to deal with the situation. Now, I see him 2-3 times per year. I feel that I need to talk to him just to check in with myself. I feel very fortunate and blessed to meet with Dr.T.

Meeting Dr. Nick was the best $150 I ever spent. My concerns were addressed in a single session in such a way that they cease to plague me.
