My one session with her was unpleasant and unhelpful. She was late to the session by 5-7 minutes to begin with, but how she made me feel in the session was the worst therapy experience I've ever had. During my session, I felt judged, dismissed, and attacked, and did not want to tell her anything personal after the first 10 minutes of talking. She lacks basic professionalism and kept raising her eyebrows, covering her face, indicating verbal astonishment ('OMG') as a reaction to ordinary family conflicts--which indicates a lack of empathy and respect. Instead of trying to understand ME as an individual, she kept making confrontational comments in a way to prove she was right and I was wrong. Her lack of basic cultural competency led to explicit bias and other offensive remarks against my background. The entire session was a shaming and othering experience for me. I felt worse than I was before the session. One star for not even being able to 'do no harm' to clients.

Not able to work through the one major issue. Was not able to stay focused and finish a issue before moving on. Left the office feeling worse than I did when I came in. It seemed like more of just venting without helping to get a single resolution. My other counselors in the past was able to understand and help with issues in a single session.
