Not a great experience
I am new to the Wilmington area and needed an orthopedic doctor. I researched and found Dr. Rose, and called to make an appointment. I was told I needed to bring ALL 20yrs of records in and he would review them & decide if he would see me! That should have been the first red flag. It took about a month, then I called again to make an appointment.Well, I was scheduled with his PA Nate Montgomery. His exam was minimal. I had thoracic surgery @ Duke last Oct....he went to look at the scar & glanced at my shoulder. The second red flag, the scar was in the middle of my spine. He suggest PT at a different practice, when they offer PT-that was the 3rd RED FLAG.Got that corrected and I went in for PT, they said "you're here for your lumbar spine" umm NO!!PT caused flare-ups & she suggested I see a pain doctor within the practice. When I called I was told I needed a referral from Nate. After 4 weeks of waiting, referral was DENIED, "the pain doctor has nothing to offer" I wasn't even seen.

Long wait times 1hour 10 minutes this time. Was late on every appt. I had with him. Felt rushed through out the process.

Such a pleasure. Having FSHD and two surgeries which compromises my movement in many ways, pinpointing what is causing what is often quite difficult. However, Nate carefully listened to my history and current symptoms to understand and give clarity to me as to whether a spine or Muscular Dystrophy issue. He went over x-rays with me, and I had understanding and felt relief when I walked out. Smart and a nice guy!
