Nadine Padowicz, LCSW

I attended a DBT skills group run by Nadine on 6/22/2021. The group was scheduled for 90 minutes. At one point she appeared confused and said she was looking for her stickie for our group to let her know where she was in the curriculum (she runs 2), couldn’t find it so she tried to recover and selected a random chapter. For the majority of the time we took turns reading the book out loud. At one point we took turns reading from a list of 100+ items that would generate ideas for happiness. There was no conversation or discussion or skill teaching, just reading out load from the list and book text. One group member was using the online curriculum and struggled the entire time to figure out where we were as Nadine only provided the the book pages. Nadine was visibly frustrated as the member (rightfully) tried to keep up. I called to tell her I wouldn’t be returning, she said she hadn’t been prepared and encouraged me to try again. If it hadn’t been so egregious I would consider it.
