Dr. Myrna Neims, PHD

Dr. Neims helped me for several years during some turbulent times in my life. She is very caring and helped me with practical solutions. I still think of her fondly and am forever appreciative of her caring and down to earth style. I would whole heartedly recommend her.

Our 3 generations of family has been seeing Myrna for over 10 years, separately for specific reasons, and in groups to help manage conflict, and promote family emotional wellness. I cannot imagine having a better counselor with a balanced, practical approach to solving conflict. Insightful, kind, trustworthy. It feels like she is a part of our family, really, and she helps us see the best in each other.

I have been seeing Dr. Neims for over 20 yrs during various family crises. She has been very helpful in listening carefully, asking penetrating questions and offering suggestions. She also has remembered the particulars of my story and relationships over the many years. I have recommended her to friends.

Absolutely stay away from Dr. NEIMS. Missed obvious signs of abuse, breached patient privacy, plays unfair politics in family court cases. My children absolutely hated her and my kids typically love everyone. She never interviewed teachers and made poorly investigated statements and released reports without proper permission to do so. Wilfully negligent. I am sorry to anyone that has to rely on her for objectivity.

Terrible counselor. Encourages children to find their way by symbolically "killing" their mother. Has clearly misunderstood Jung on this. Fosters dissent among teenagers where peace is possible. Believes children should be clothed from Walmart for upper-Middle-class children and that it is appropriate that she dictate this to mothers. If you do not follow, she recommends removing the child. Her politics are unbelievable. Top-down social control policies with a big, pretend smile. Stay away!

Exceptional childhood counselor. My child saw here for an number of years and still has great things to say about Dr. Neims. She was also an expert witness for us in a DCF case and was the brightest one in the courtroom (judge loved her). Highly recommended.
