I've been seeing Monica for gastro issues for the past few years. I have a great provider-patient relationship with her. She listens and she's thoughtful. She is interested in your 'whole' well-being, not just her specialty of gastroenterology. I highly recommend Monica!

One thing in my life has been finding doctors & nurse practitioners who I’ve felt comfortable with. Lovins is unmatched! She listens very well (a tough proposition to find in anyone) knowledgeable, caring, & kind! I moved but willing to drive those extra miles I moved to see her. I have in the past 4-5 years been dealing with personal negative experiences & drama that didn’t allow me to follow up on some of my procedures but she’s very understanding & a great listener she even called me to check up on me. I moved by a hospital but experiences were negative. It’s almost impossible to communicate with people. All automated! (Over Automated) I will be going back to see her. People looking for a great person to handle your gastro problems I would highly recommend her! Wanted to add Dr. Rai who is by far the best gastrointestinal doctor I’ve ever seen & I’ve had many-Lovins and Dr. Rai are a perfect match!

I visited Monica Lovins at Gastro Center of Maryland. She was competent and knowledgeable, kindly and completely answering my questions.. What made her truly exceptional, however, was her exquisite warmth and compassion. Her complete attention was focused on me during the time that we spoke. Monica Lovins is an outstanding professional. I highly recommend her.

Every time I have come in to meet Monica, she has always been a delight to meet. She always greets me with a smile and it is very up lifting. She explains all medical issues to me with words that I can actually comprehend. She makes sure I understand what is happening and is always patient when I have questions. She is on time and does not rush the appointment. One thing I love about her is whenever I email her or call her, she always responds quickly.
