Monica Jones, NP

She is by far my most favorite health care provider I've ever seen! She is very knowledgeable but also relatable and I never feel judged. I have never had to be without my medication, even when it was scarce with lots of pharmacy's out of stock. She helped me find the best ways to manage my mental health, and always checks in if there are any changes to make sure my physical health is okay too. She has helped me so much medically, mentally and has given me tips/ pointers for life in general. Thank you so much Miss Monica Jones, for always maintaining professionalism but also making it a comfortable, safe space to be open and honest. 100% strongly recommend!

I couldn't believe that a caregiver would shout at a patient who was speaking calmly and respectfully just because she didn't agree with me. She raised her voice snd shouted most of the phone call, cut me off, shut me down, and is the most unprofessional dr. I ever met in my life. Aurora should be looking into her closer. Look up her reviews. And get better people. No one should have to tolerate or go through that treatment. Unable to control herself or her emotions, very unstable.

Horrible!!! I would not recommend her to ANYONE. She was extremely rude, cold, condescending, and downright mean. I hung up on my virtual appointment upset and shaking. This woman should not be allowed to practice in her field. I am questioning Aurora Health due to how she spoke to me. Why is she even in this field?

Monica Jones should not be allowed to see patients. She is defensive, accusatory, judge mental and just an angry woman. She has a huge chip on her shoulder and apparently taking it out on her patients as seen by these reviews. Advocate Aurora Health… shame on you for not caring about all these negative reviews and doing something. She’s a liability and doing a disservice to the mental health field.

I never left a review on a provider before but this seemed important. I wish I saw these reviews before I started seeing Monica Jones. She was exactly how all the others are rating her. If I would ask a question about why we are changing something up in my medication, she would act as if I was questioning her understanding of the subject when I just wanted to learn understand what the plan was. Her notes of what I said in previous appointments always conflicted with my memory. I feel like she never believed anything I said.

Monica was condescending and dismissive. It seemed like she was annoyed and I was wasting her time. Practitioners like her are why people don't reach out for help with their mental health.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I’ve never written a complaint against anyone before, but honestly she was terrible. All of the other reviews are correct about her being blunt and you feeling like you’re being interrogated. It felt like she did not care at all and showed no compassion. I don’t believe mental health should be her specialty.

Horrible. As other reviews say she is blunt but she is also wrong. First you do not need to be so blunt with working with patients with mental health issues. This only increases the stress. Second DON'T LIE! So many times she would say "you never said that to me" then two minutes later she remembers while all the time bragging about her great note taking. If you so see her make sure to check the myadvocateaurora site or app. Read her notes. She had so many things in there that were not true, never stated or never updated. What really bothers me is that with all of these notes (just becoming available on the myadvocateaurora site and app) it has become clear that I need to change providers. The real issue here is I know my new provider will base everything on her notes. This person should not be allowed to work with mental health patients and why she is Aurora allows her to be part of their team is beyond me.

Really, I wish there was an option for zero stars, I would leave it but there isnt. If you would like to be treated like a criminal when you are referred to her for mental health than yes I would recommend seeing her. Otherwise truly she needs to go back to being a drug counselor like she was before and then become a probation officer. Never have I felt so uncomfortable, interrogated, or flat out worse than I did after meeting a supposed healthcare provider. I absolutely wouldn't recommend her to anyone EVER.

Saw her 3 times she would take what i said and change it up. Doesnt know what she is talking about. Was a horrible experience for me. She needs to go back to school

My last psychiatrist retired which led me to Monica Jones. I can’t recommend her to anyone. She interrogated me during my visit with her. I understand asking questions as that is her job but it felt like she was trying to catch me doing something wrong. After meeting with her for an hour and a half she informed me that she wouldn’t refill the prescription I have been on the past 6 years. She stated that I needed to go to a lower dose of my medication as she believes no one should be on “such a high dose”. Her personal “beliefs” shouldn’t interfere with the care her patients get. She clearly has picked the wrong field as she is messing with people’s mental health by refusing patients their medication.

My first appointment with Monica wasn't easy. It never is when you meet a provider for the first time. Monica was never condescending like other providers I've met. After seeing her for about a year now, we get along well and speak truthful with one another.

Monica Jones is by far one of the worse providers I have ever been to in my life. She is condescending and rude. She doesn't actually listen to what you have to say and does not provide a comfortable environment which is sad because most people that would be coming to her are looking for that. She doesn't keep an open mind and is very judgmental. She offered no help. I left feeling worse than when I came. She is not a good fit for the field she is in and would never recommend her to anyone.
