Monica Hubbard

How is this woman still practicing? After seeing other reviews I feel like my experience could have been so much worse. I didn't like that she kept giving advice and sharing personal information about her life, it seemed inappropriate based on all my other therapy experiences which focused on my process not my therapist.

I mistakenly sought ind. & family therapy w/ Monica. She struck me as over-identified with the adolescent perspective w/ clearly her own mom issues. And wow after reading the other reviews I feel so validated! We had behavior/mental health issues at home and went to Monica for near 2 years. My kids' psychiatrist was trying to get me to stop counseling with her for several months as progess wasn't being made. I wish I'd listened sooner, but instead caved to the popular "Yay therapy! It can only help!" belief thats schools, social media & Dr's push. Boy was I wrong!!! Our family functioning NEVER improved while working with her. Let me tell you having NO therapist is a MILLION times better than having a BAD therapist. Biggest parenting regret - giving Monica Hubbard, MFT access to & input regarding my children/family. Never again and our family is 5000 times better for it!

My whole review was rejected when I told the specifics so I'll just say Monica was not helpful with my trauma. In fact bc of my exp with her I will likely never trust another therapist even though I need help with my ptsd. I saw her when I was a teen and now as an adult I realize how horrible her "counsel" was even though I used to think she was so great. This woman hurts not helps.

I love Monica. She is amazing. Helpful and compassionate, she helps me wade through the various traumas of my life. I've had her as my therapist for 4 years or more.

If you are looking for a child therapist who will enable your children to lie & endanger your family,  pick Monica Hubbard. She enabled a relationship btwn my daughter and "secret boyfriend" for over a year and a half.  Monica was aware that he was being snuck into my home, never told me citing confidentiality,  even though my daughter's previous love interests have vandalized our property and harrassed my daughter post breakup. Contact continued into Covid-19 quarantine endangering myself, partner AND my elderly mother who was in & out of the hospital. We had no need to heighten supervision & security around our property going into quarantine because we were totally unaware! Both my other daughters also knew, were being threatened by my eldest that she would disown them if they told. Triggering ALL their abandonment issues & toxic secret keeping (all 3 were adopted) Meanwhile, I was detailing their escalating behavior to Ms. Hubbard who NEVER disclosed! See her at you own peril.
