Maybe it’s because it was workman's comp but the way she treated and discounted pain and swelling was a disgrace. She automatically was on the defense and said a sudden onset of swelling and pain ONE MONTH post op “ wasn’t that bad”And totally normal. Was it normal when she diagnosed it as a suture abscess 5 days before? And when the swelling was undeniably worse along with pain at the visit , it was deemed normal. When asked what to do about continuing working a very strenuous construction job and told her a week off with no pay already Her response was “ tell me why you wouldn’t be able to work”? She profiled the situation as one wanting disability and pain meds. I’m sure that happens but this is not the case. It was undeniable the pain and discomfort when walking and she said “ can’t write you a letter to worams comp”. Just ice and elevate it. Easy to do on a job site , right. ? Her lack of empathy was loud and loud and clear. I’m sure private pay is more her liking.
