My daughter has had a lisp since her adult teeth began to come in and Ms. Benevides imitated and mocked her. She also discouraged me from speaking my first language with my daughter because it would "confuse" her. I have never been so insulted by someone who was supposed to help my daughter succeed. This woman in not a professional and I hope she doesn't get hired to care for children ever again. There's clearly a reason why she has moved from so many different institutions in so little time.
