Started out great with very thorough initial appointment; but nearly 2 years later and symptoms still exist. All my subsequent appointments never started on time (with no acknowledgment or apology) and I had multiple incorrect Rx (that I caught by reading the dosage) and my lab orders also were incorrect resulting in 2 different blood draws being another waste of time and money. Also I was overcharged more than once by receptionist—insurance can be confusing so this is understandable- but I never was informed until I went in for my next appointment. During appointments with Michelle she would repeat some of the same recommendations- even though we already discussed that I had tried them and didn’t get results; almost like she didn’t keep track of my personal patient history. Very expensive supplements, lack of accountability for mistakes and overall poor organization here.

Michelle is a wonderful example of a provider who helps her patients to pursue health care, not sick care. She looks for the root cause and provides clear and practical ways to help the body tap into its natural healing power and move towards optimal health. She takes time with her patients and listens attentively. I highly recommend her!

I have had 2 appointments with Michelle. In both, she has spent at least an hour with me. On my CBC results, she went over every item in detail, whether it was normal or not. Although she seemed somewhat puzzled by my symptoms, she did have recommendations and ordered another test that seemed reasonable. It's going to be a long-term solution for me, but I do have more confidence in her ability to help me than in the 3 GI doctors I have seen in the last 2 years.

After years of western medical doctors saying nothing was wrong.. I finally had answers! She’s helped diagnose many autoimmune problems and have helped me overcome them! She takes the time to get to know you. I am so glad I found heartland functional medicine! I am a new person! ??

Michelle has gone above and beyond of helping me with my digestive issues along with hormone replacement therapy. Her office staff is also very helpful.

No lunch hour, early morning, late day, or Fridays appointments ever. Ms. McCaslin will recommend a 4 week follow-up appointment, and there aren't any available for 6 to 8 weeks. Be prepared to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on tests and supplements. Lack of results from following the protocol does not seem to matter. No time to talk about it. Very informative, but tells you so much there is no listening or consulting. Recommendations are to buy more and come back again in 4 weeks

Michelle is very knowledgeable and I can't recommend her highly enough! I have family members that see her and I recommend her to all of my friends. So wonderful to have a practitioner who understands BHRT!

While Michelle is a very nice person, I am not sure she possesses the knowledge nor appropriate level of expertise to be overseeing patient care. Furthermore, the required testing costs are outrageous and I still don't understand why they were necessary. My advice would be to seek a practictioner with more experience.

Michelle spends a long time explaining things and getting to the root cause of problems. I really like that she does not just give you a medication for a problem, she assists you in finding out what is causing the problem so it can be corrected naturally. She has really helped my husband and I to feel better and become healthier overall.

Michelle is very thorough and explains very complex issues in a manner which is understandable. Michelle has built a team that includes experts in specific areas which I have not experienced in previous medical practices; this allows her to provide care at a holistic level unlike a typical physician in general practice. Michelle has done a great deal in a short time to help me with my medical and overall health needs. Note: I have not needed an urgent appointment, which is one of the questions.
