Dr. Michael Trusty, MA

Dr. Trusty listens and has amazing ideas about how to overcome the struggles you’re facing. He was a referral from a friend and his whole philosophy is to get you better so that you DONT have to come back. In Dr. Trusty’s eyes, if you come to him for the rest of your life he isn’t doing his job. He’s done amazingly with our friend (who referred us) who was struggling with a medical diagnosis as well as both of my parents about a divorce situation they endured and myself about my parents divorce and my self esteem! Our family is flourishing now thanks to Dr. Trusty.

I wanted to share how wonderful and caring Dr Trusty was for us for marriage counseling. He helped my husband and I realize what the issue was and what it wasn’t. He is very honest and doesn’t take sides. (Which was a concern of mine with this being the first time I went to counseling and me being female) He explains life in a way that you can understand. He gives you useful tools that help in every aspect of your life. We recommend Dr Trusty to anyone that is struggling in any area of their life. Dr Trusty CAN help you too!

If you like someone who talks more than he listens and repeats the same thing over in each session by giving examples of himself or other people he works with than this is for you. Did not do anything for us. I also don’t enjoy listening someone mocking feelings or women therapists. My husband wanted to go to him just because he would do most of the talking. He said he gives homework by the second session went of track. I don’t say is all him but his approach is not something I would recommend.

I went to Dr. Trusty a few years ago. He completely changed my life. I had been misdiagnosed with depression for about 7 years at the time of seeing him. He suggested that the diagnosis was wrong, and now that I am properly diagnosed and medicated, and my life has changed significantly. I now feel in control and able to handle things like a normal person.
