Mike confronted those of us in my group with his belief that he wants to push the drinking and drug usage problem aside and dig deeper in each of us to gain a trust so that each of us can be so honest in going back in our lives to identify and isolate the core issues that have crippled us in life and begin to forgive, heal and rebuild ourselves so that we can gain a confidence in knowing we can truly move forward and become great men and women once again! The drugs and the alcohol were merely band aids which brought us, at one time, relief. But we realized that they no longer eased the pain but became roadblocks in our growth and wisdom! I didn’t know how to Keep sobriety, only how to lose it again and again. Mike helped me to understand how my brain worked and that I could change for the better and refuse anything that would hinder my growth. He has made the difference in my life that I had been searching for for over 30 + years! I, to this day, mention his name often!
