Dr Murrell worked with me when I was suffering from terrible PTSD from the life long abuse I had suffered. He used the EMDR therapy with me and helped me overcome deep pain and trauma. His kindness and compassion we instrumental in helping me learn to trust. I highly recommend his help to anyone. His expertise is very helpful to resolve personal issues of any kind.

I’ve worked with Dr. Murrell before and after a two-year break, I was quick to reach out again when I needed help. From the moment I called, he welcomed me back into his practice with kindness. I had a Telehealth appointment with Dr. Murrell as part of my VA claim process. I share the same thoughts on my appointment with him as most others here: he listened, didn't make me feel ashamed of my issues, and provided feedback and resources. Dr. Murrell was very professional and passionate about my concerns and overall health issues. We talked about my longevity career in the military. And he explained in detailed of my depression and anxiety of how I needed to go about my day to life and continue to seek help through a number of resources available.

My appointment with Dr. Michael Murrell was for the VA PTSD screening for benefits examination. I honestly can say I was terrified going into the appointment, as I try to do everything possible not to think about the trauma I experienced. I truly appreciate his calm demeanor, his frank, no nonsense approach to PTSD. His willingness to share his own experience, allowed me to open up and away I can’t do often. His passion for helping vets is evident and in my case I believe he went way beyond what he had to, giving me options I did not even know I could pursue.

After seeing multiple doctors and counselors in person with little success, I was sent to Doctor Murrell. I was very skeptical. How can a video call work when in person therapy couldn’t. After the second or third session, I realized this guy is the real deal and has a true gift. 14 years as a first responder, I have seen and had to do things that changed me from the person I used to be. My family was suffering dealing with the “new me”. I was mad all the time and felt like a failure to my very young children. Doctor Murrell helped bring me out of the very dark place I had fallen into. Doctor Murrell is heartfelt and genuinely cares about the people he sees. I thought I was only going to get an exam but instead talked to me about how to overcome and not only that but gave me resources. I left the session with a page full of notes. I think he could have just gave me the exam but took time out of his day to talk to me about a lot, even my faith (which I brought up and I wanted to speak on).
