I have taken my elderly mother to Dr. Michael Morgenthaler for a chronic eye condition. He is very patient and answers her questions even when she repeats asking them due to her short term memory issues. I would highly recommend him to my friends.

I went to my annual eye exam and the doctor had me read one line and told me my eyes were fine and my vision was perfect. I explained that I was in pain, my eyes hurt and I had trouble seeing far away. He told me that I was wrong and I could see just fine. He proceeded to gaslight me for about 15 minutes as he told me that he was “just telling me the truth” and made me read the same 5 letter line over and over. I got upset and he turned the problem back around on me saying I was getting irrationally upset. He blamed me for any eye pain I had, saying that I just needed to work out my eyes more. He then told me the problem was my fibromyalgia and that he could do nothing and began recommending medications for me to try, which is particularly rude seeing as he is an optometrist not a medical doctor. He evaded answering any questions about why I see bright starbursts on any lights at night and how to help my snow blindness during the day. Finally, he never looked into my eyes, never had me
