I sought out help in a really low point in my life. I had just lost two family members, my job, and distances myself from my support system. When I had a consultation with Michael, he wanted to do an assessment of my anxiety and depression which I already had a diagnosis of. He quoted me an amount for the testing which I told him I was not able to pay so he simplified the testing to half that amount. He scheduled a follow up after the testing to read a piece of paper and told me I have anxiety and depression and pawned me off to talk to another psychologist if I wanted continued treatment. I then received a bill in the mail almost double the amount he told me it would cost and when I raised concern with the billing department they told me it was my fault for not knowing how much mental health visits cost and that they are not responsible for being transparent about how much the full treatment would cost. I wish I never would have looked for help.
