My initial exam was excellent. The cost was covered by my insurance. I had a wellness eye test which was optional at a cost of $40.00, well worth the money,however while there I was told I would have to come back for a retina test that could not be performed the same day because of some medicare-insurance billing problem. The optometrist told me that there would be not charge. When i arrived I was informed by the office manager that I had to pay and additional $40.00 since I was seeing a specialist, who by the was the same doctor who gave me the original exam. My question was 1. why was I told there would be no charge and 2. Isn't this part of the original exam? If you use Dr Brodsky and assoc., be prepared to get nickel/ dimed. Stick to the initial exam and possibly the wellness test
