When i went in to occupational health for a workers comp claim from my back injury at east penn Atherly kept telling me that im lying and that the pain she be gone by this amount of time and was just very rude about it all even though i had no interest in pain meds. He never did an x-ray on my back or anything just looked at me said its probably muscle strain and sent me on my way, every recheck he would argue and say that it doesnt hurt and that im lying. I asked for an x-ray to be done but he refused 4 seperate times. So i went to a chiropractor and paid out of pocket so that my employer wouldnt fire me for not getting it cleared through them and the chiropractor did a few x-rays and discovered that one of my vertebrae was out of alignment in my lower back. After that appointment i had zero pain and went back to Atherly for my work release. Moral of the story he refuses to listen to what the patients are saying and would rather argue than order something as simple as an x-ray.
