Merle’s practice and DBT were extremely helpful when I couldn’t identify my feelings and had difficulty making my way forward. Practice was validating and insightful - the DBT helped me with skills and ways to interact with the world in a healthier manner.

Her advice was so dangerously unintelligent it felt like asking my enemy for help.

Worked with Merle Berman for two sessions and felt like I was talking to a wall. On my third session, she questioned who I was living with which had pretty much been the whole reason I was there and we had discussed in previous sessions. Really didn’t seem to retain information I was giving her. Just kept parroting “how can I help, why are you here?” Very disappointed as I had to wait for treatment. I then had to contact several weeks later for a receipt. The therapist was not attentive to scheduling appointments, working with clients and retaining information or providing receipts. Therapist did not seem to have solid training or ability to work with people and develop rapport
