Actually, this is an old name. She currently goes by her maiden name; Melynda Schmidt. Melynda has been my Primary Care Doctor at the Golden VA for 20 years, and she is amazing! She actually cares about her patients and doesn’t make you feel like you’re just a folder in her file cabinet. If I ever had problems needing medical care (ie. emergency room, ambulance, etc.), she would call me as soon as it showed up on her side to get me in and get the problem figured out! She’s very understanding and patient. Yet another quality you just don’t find at the VA. I’ve had other Primary Care Docs through the VA and it seems as if they just want to get you out of their office. VERY highly recommended! If I could give her an extra star, I would!
