Dr. Melissa Stiling, OD

Dr. Stiling is a fantastic optometrist. She is thorough and precise. She has great bedside manner. Her office staff are also excellent and very helpful. In addition, it is helpful that her office is open until 7pm on Tuesdays for people who work late. I completely trust her and would recommend her to anyone. In fact, my mom recently became a patient based on my recommendation since her doctor is not currently practicing due to health reasons. She really liked both her and her office as well.

As far as I can tell, she is competent in so far as making diagnoses, but she is more concerned with money making than she is with the well-being of her patients. Her glasses frames were so grossly overpriced that I was forced to have my prescription filled at Walmart. I was called home to another state during the Covid crisis because my 90-year mother’s husband was dying. I have lost my glasses and she has refused to extend my prescription so that I, now my mother’s primary caregiver, might get another pair here in FL, 600 miles from her office in a COVID pandemic.

HAD APPT FOR WEEKS AND WHEN SHOWED UP SHE NOT THERE FOR NO REASON. ANOTHER "DR" WAS THERE BUT NO TIME TO SEE ME. (MY HUBBY HAD AN APPT TOO.) "NO TIME FOR MORE PATIENTS". NEVER NEVER GO TO THIS FAKE PLACE OR DR.

The doctor is good. However, the staff and practice need vast improvement. Wife and I went for our eye appointments since we desperately need a new prescription, only to find out the doctor was not there. No reason given. The substitute doctor could not see us. All booked up. We were told we were called several time … never got a message. When we asked why they didn't email us, we were told they did not do that. But we got an email that day reminding us of our appointment, one that did not exist. IF THEY CAN EMAI A REMINDER THEY CAN EMAIL WHEN DOC CANCELS. MADE A WASTED TRIP. USED GAS WE ON SS CAN'T AFFORD!!!

Dr. Stiling is incredible! She is informative, patient, she has a great disposition and pleasant mood and attitude and I felt really cared for. We tried adjusting my lenses and I had trouble adapting, her team graciously worked with me to get me seeing better. She has a high quality practice! I am happy to say I will be going back and recommending her to family and friends. Her eye glasses techs were also amazing! Kind and respectful.
