Melissa Mutschelknaus, NP

Told me I was drug seeking for trying to get my rescue inhaler re filled, but yet she wouldn’t prescribe anything to treat my asthma either, refused to let me husband in to my appointments with me (which I’m suspecting is because we have and age gap and he is older than me but I could be wrong) she had horrible bedside manner, got visibly annoyed when I cried during an appointment.

Melissa is very knowledgeable and keeps up on the latest treatments and research. She takes the time to listen and recommend a plan that is right for me. I highly recommend her .

She’s very knowledgeable and kind

I have struggled with anxiety throughout my life, and Melissa has always been very understanding and kind. She is supportive, has what’s best for the patient in mind, and has helped me in getting an accurate diagnosis in the past. I trust Melissa as a primary physician, and I highly recommend her.

She tried to diagnose my mom based on empathy. Even though the ER scans showed colitis in her intestines. Her exact words "I'm going to tell you right now that you're bleeding from a hemroid. I'm only telling you this because of the scared look in your eyes." She became very argumentative when I told her that this was something my mom had been struggling with for years. She was writing off the things my mom was explaining to her. Even became combative and said "if it wasn't, wouldn't they have found it in the 2014 scan?". Referencing my mom's other appointments from 8 years prior. We left her office frustrated, feeling like we hadn't been listened to. The doctor at Union who did her colonoscopy had to apologize on Melissa's behalf. Because after years of dealing with this problem, he found that she has diverticulitis. We will not be going back. Unprofessional, ego driven. She shouldn't be caring for patients if she can't actually listen to them.

She is a great doctor and very personable… Very caring

It was such a relief to see a doctor who not only had great bedside manner, but also listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable. I've never had such a good experience as I had with Melissa. I definitely plan on seeing her as my doctor.

I have never felt more at ease with any Physician in an office environment. Melissa's genuine interest in her patients, and obvious expertise in her field of medicine, is evident from the first office visit. Her caring nature, and thorough investigation in my well-being, tells me that she definitely has chosen a career that is as rewarding for her as it is to those fortunate enough to be treated by her.
